Course Details
This hands-on course is designed for HVAC, Medical Equipment and Electronics Appliances repair professionals who wants to properly learn circuit board repair at the component level including troubleshooting, diagnostics, fault tracing, replacing, removing, testing, and soldering. Restoring broken circuit boards are better than to purchase new ones. Striving to correct the root cause of the issue instead of merely replacing the circuit boards or parts. Reading schematic and wiring diagrams. The hand repair training delivered on Main Control Boards and Circuit Boards of various industrial, commercial, and household Dishwashers, Dryers, Refrigerators, Washing Machines, Furnaces, Containers, Automobiles, Robotics, and Medical Equipment.
Course Outline:
- Basic electronics concepts and knowledge of electronic circuits and components
- Learn basic concepts of soldering and how to solder and de-solder ICs, components thru-hole and SMT using soldering station.
- How to troubleshoot and identify defective components using various diagnostics techniques by using test equipment such as digital multimeter, power supply and oscilloscope.
- How to replace defective components on the circuit board and perform root cause failure analysis on sensors and circuit boards
- Testing circuit boards using standard test equipment, digital multimeter, power supply and oscilloscope.
- How to repair control boards and burnt solder joints, control relay
- How to interpret schematic and wiring diagrams
- How to identify suspected problems using the schematic and wiring diagrams
- How to formulate a troubleshooting strategy based on schematic analysis
- How to identify where to make electrical measurements
- About triac-gated neutrals in AC loads with standing voltage
- The difference between loading and non-loading voltage meters and when and why to use each
Course Instructor
Course instructor has 20 plus years of circuit board, BGA Reflow, SMT Rework, Advanced PCB soldering repair experience.
